standout pioneering Rioja producer

about having bought properties in Bordeaux, Enrique Forner established Marqués de Cáceres in 1970 in Rioja. This was after a long period of isolation under the Franco regime, and Forner was instrumental in modernising winemaking techniques in the region. Now it is one of the leading wineries in Rioja, famous for its striking facilities designed by Frank Gehry.
