about
Bueyes are based in Valle de Uco, the high elevation resulting in lively wines. The name means “oxen” in Spanish, a reference to winemakerJesus Bianchetti’s great-grandfather who first farmed in the early twentieth century after immigrating from Italy. There’s an attachment to place and history in the wines.

Extra Brut Rosé NV ($26)
93% Malbec, 7% Torrontés—a very unusual, particular blend. The Torrontés is added during fermentation to provide floral aromatics, but this is mostly about Malbec for the fruity, spicy aromas complemented by a light creaminess.
