standout stylish Prosecco
about the De Stefani family have several labels, of which Redentore is one. Wine has been made since the late 1800s, now into the fourth generation (Alessandro is the current winemaker). They were founded in Refrontolo, a village which is in between Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, moving to Fossalta di Piave nearer the Adriatic coast in 1971. That allowed them to grow different grape varieties, but they also maintained their plantings in Prosecco. Organically farmed with no sulphites. The labels are very stylish and eye-catching.
wines tasted
Prosecco Millesimato 2023 ($15)
If only all Prosecco tasted like this. Almost completely dry (2g/l of sugar), fruity, approachable, and a lot of fun.
Naturalmente Col Fondo 2021 ($16)
Hazy and yeasty, fruity and floral, and very fresh, despite being four years old (tasted in 2026). Subtle but firm texture.
