standout sophisticated Lambrusco
about Mirco Gianaroli took over his father’s winery at the age of just 14, after his father suddenly died. He developed the winery to incorporate modern techniques, while maintaining family traditions. The winery is based in the foothills of the Appennines, the highest quality area for Lambrusco. Mirco is an example of a producer determined to make quality in a wine in a region associated with high volume.

Lambrusco Grasparossa di Castelvetro NV ($30)
This is a serious example of Lambrusco which needs cured meat: a stereotype but true. Typical of Grasparossa: quite tannic, red forest fruits, chewy, meaty, with a light touch. 12g/l, 11% ABV.
