standout excellent Champagne co-op
about Champagne Sanger is a viticultural school initially established in 1927 and formally made into a winery in 1952 by 16 growers/students based in Avize in the heart of Montagne de Reims. Fruit is sourced from 13ha spread across 42 villages, for a complete representation of Champagne. 70% of those villages are Grand Cru, pointing to the consistent quality of the wines. The focus is on education, helping young students learn about making excellent wine. An unusual example of a high-quality co-operative producer looking towards developing the future of the region.

“Voyage 360” Brut Nature NV ($50)
A classic Champagne blend of the three major grape varieties, aged for two years on the lees in the bottle. The base of the wine is the 2019 vintage, with 30% reserve wines. A lovely representation of Champagne at an affordable price.
