standout very good example of Montagne de Reims

about established in 1930 (though the current winery which you can stay at was bought in 1947), this is still a family run winery, based in the village of Ludes, wine made not just from Ludes but also Ville-Dommange, Mailly-Champagne, and Vertus, all in Montagne de Reims. The current winemaker, Laurence, is the granddaughter of the founders.

A slightly strange name, but a very good wine. A classic blend of the the three Champagne varieties, aged for four years. Perfect for a blind tasting.
